Julie’s interest in Remedial Therapies began in 1992 when she studied at the Academy of Natural Therapies at West Burleigh. It wasn’t long before a strong belief in Natural Medicine and body therapies was reinforced. This led Julie to a philosophy in life rather than just an existence.
Over the years Julie worked in some of the beautiful island resorts of the Great Barrier Reef, various clinics throughout Brisbane and began her first clinic in West Lake in 1996.
When family life began, Julie and her partner Ian decided to birth their two children naturally and calmly at home with private midwifery care. The decision came easily after having trust in the body’s amazing abilities and nature’s influences.
Freedom to make choices and being given holistic and thorough information made all the difference to their children’s wonderful births. Her wonderful birthing experiences have lead Julie to developing special interests in pregnancy, pre and postnatal care, and nutrition.
In 2003 Julie and Ian built their own home and the eco-designed treatment premises from quality, recycled, hardwood timbers. It is neighbouring National Park and overlooks private bushland. They enjoy living a natural life with their two children Zahra and Rumi on their secluded acreage.
Julie has completed a Diploma of Applied Science in Remedial Massage, Certificate IV in Shiatsu and is currently studying an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science in Nutrition. She has always had a passion for food and believes food is our medicine.
