At Live Organic Health we believe in a Nature Cure (using natural elements) Nutrition philosophy. When it all comes down to it, the types of food and the essential nutrients that we need are far more important to work with, rather than the amount of food and the calories (measurements and mathematics).
Food has always interested us. Vibrant colors, textures, tastes, smells and presentation can turn a standard meal into a “Feast for our Senses”. An avarage diet can be improved by looking at our intake of carbohydrates, lipids (fats and oils), proteins, vitamins, minerals and water. Depending on your special needs, age and activity levels and fitness the amounts of these six essential nutrients will slightly differ for everyone.
An easy and interesting way to take more notice of what you are consuming is to record everything you eat or drink for a whole week. List everything on a daily nutrition graph.
Be brutally honest with yourself and record absolutely everything even alcohol. Maybe this will show you some sort of pattern with your eating habits. Good luck if you choose to change something.
